Developing for iPhone

How could I pass up this opportunity to place such a nice piece of eye candy on the site as the new iPhone. I, for one, think its one of the most beautiful pieces of hardware to hit the market in a long time, and I'm not even a mac fan necessarily!

One great feature of the phone is that it allows us to develop native applications using web technologies. Think of the custom google maps and youtube applications that come out of the box with the iPhone. There's a video as well as some guidelines on getting started.

One of the primary UI differences between this mobile device and computers, or even other mobile devices, is that it takes greater advantage of the unique abilities of the fingers to navigate the screen - pinching for zooming being one of the main features.
